Hamuel (ハムエル, Hamueru?), birth name Hayu Hinata (日向 羽結, Hinata Hayu?), is the main female protagonist of the spin-off series, Yūryō Bukken Mō Dame Sō: Furo, Toilet to Tenshi wa Kyōdō Desu. She is an angel who was sent to help Yuugo Sayama.
It's later revealed that Hamuel isn't an angel but a ghost sent from the heaven, as a result of Yuugo refused to forget her and let go of his regrets on how he "killed" her.

Background[]
She was born as a human named Hayu Hinata. During the elementary school days, Hayu was transferred to a different school where Yuugo was studying and the teacher asked him to guild her around the school. Upon guilding Hayu, she immediately noticed that Yuugo is faking his smile and it makes her sad.
Since then, Hayu has been trying her best to make Yuugo smiled and happy. While it seemed to be successful, one day, during night, both Yuugo and Hayu arrived at a beach near the Dame Sou apartment. At that time, they were arguing over something, he claimed that no matter how hard he tried to study, none of his efforts would ever be rewarded. Hayu then claimed that everyone could become better as long as they tried their best to improve and tried to prove him wrong by swimming at the beach, despite that she doesn't know how to swim. Soon, Hayu ended up drowning and then died from it. Yuugo contacted the police to save Hayu's life with no success, as she had been disappeared from the sea and the polices couldn't recover her corpse.
Normally, any deceased human would be reincarnated as a different person or even a different species and begin their new life. However, due to Yuugo refused to believe that she is death and keep searching for her, her soul could not be purified and reincarnated in the mortal world. As such, the Archangel erased Hayu's memories as human and pretend to be an angel to hiding the natural fact that reincarnation is actually possible, which is considered forbidden knowledge for the humanity.
After Hayu "became" an angel, she renamed herself as Hamuel. Hamuel is considered the most useless angel ever by the Synapse, being with the lowest rank out of all the angels who lives there.

One day, when Yuugo returns to his room, an angel suddenly teleported in front of him. The angel's name is Hamuel, she was sent to the human realm from "heaven" and given an order to help Yuugo find a job and not become a "loser". However, Yuugo refused her help and claimed that he would rather be dead than actually find a job, as an excuse to keep her out of his room.

Hamuel can create a portal for herself and teleport into other places. Due to Hamuel's weight, her teleportation don't always work.

Trivia[]
- Her character design is somewhat a combination of both Lyne Mei and Hina Farrow from Suu Minazuki's other series, Plunderer.
- Hamuel also has the same running gag that she is overweight and have belly fat, done in the exact same way Lyne had in her own series as well.
- Her wings design look exactly same as the one from the logo of the Sora no Otoshimono series, which serves as another hint that both series took place in the same universe.
